"Architects Boix and Pérez Morgan were my classmates at the School of Architecture in the 1970s.
Having directors with a vast knowledge of architecture at the head of a construction company has countless advantages, such as the possibility of discussing things together and understanding the expected goals and results.
I consider that architectural design is the outcome of multidisciplinary team work where, in addition to the architects, a key role is also played by engineering consultants, clients, the construction company and the subcontractors. Counting on experienced contractors and subcontractors with the will to produce quality constructions is key to the project’s success.
I had the honour, among other things, of working with Norte on two very different and complex projects: Playa Vik in José Ignacio (which won the Best Hotel in the World award at the Bloomberg International Architectural Design Awards in London) and Forum, a residential complex in the Puerto del Buceo neighbourhood in Montevideo".
